If you do not possess a formal university degree relevant to your field, you are required to prove at least three years of professional experience. A portfolio or professional website serves as supplementary evidence of your track record and active business status.

Why is it needed?

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Sources #1, #8), applicants must show a relationship with foreign clients lasting at least three months. While contracts and invoices prove the current relationship, a portfolio provides the broader context of your professional standing and technical competence required by the "Startup Law."

What evidence satisfies this?

• Professional Website: A live URL showcasing your services, client list, and contact information.
• Digital Portfolio: A PDF or link (e.g., GitHub, Behance, Dribbble) containing case studies, project screenshots, or published works.
• Media Presence: Links to professional profiles or industry publications.

Apostille and Translation

• Apostille: Usually not required for websites or digital portfolios as they are not public administrative documents.
• Translation: If your portfolio or website is not in Spanish, a sworn translation of the summary or key project descriptions may be requested by the consulate or UGE-CE to ensure clarity.
